Why we built it
The old way of talking to strangers online — random video sites and web chatrooms — mostly disappeared or filled up with bots, spam and abuse. We wanted the good part back: the simple thrill of an unscripted conversation with someone you'd never otherwise meet, without handing over your identity, your phone number, or a single byte of personal history.
Telegram turned out to be the right home for it. Almost everyone already has it installed, accounts are pseudonymous by default, and the platform handles delivery, media and security so we can focus on one thing: matching two people quickly and getting out of the way.
How it stays anonymous
When two people are matched, Duofield relays messages between them. Your partner never sees your Telegram ID, your username, or your phone number — only the words, photos or voice notes you choose to send. The moment you type /stop or /next, the connection is gone.
We also store as little as possible. Message content is never written to a database — it passes through in real time and is forgotten. We keep only what the service needs — your profile choices, who you were matched with and when, reports and purchases — and delete chat records after 90 days. Keeping it safe
Anonymity cuts both ways, so moderation is built in from the start: automatic anti-spam and anti-link filters, plus /report to flag a bad actor (repeat offenders are banned automatically) and /block so you're never matched with someone again. How we keep the lights on
Chatting is free. A few extras — choosing to chat with a girl or a guy, extra Discover requests, inviting a past partner back — cost Coins, which you also get for free every day or can earn by watching short ads you choose to watch. Coins packs and VIP (filters on every search, priority matching, instant skips) are optional one-time purchases with Telegram Stars; there's no subscription and nothing to cancel. That's the whole business model: we never sell data.
